Sponsorship disclosure

What is paid

Schools and other organisations can pay for sponsored cards, destination or category placements, enhanced profile panels, sponsored destination content and guide sponsorships. Every paid placement is labelled Sponsored and appears in its own slot, apart from the editorial and alphabetical lists.

What money cannot buy

• Basic factual listings are free. A school does not need to pay to be listed.
• Paid placements are always labelled Sponsored.
• We do not sell verification, accreditation display, reviews, rankings or guaranteed inquiries.
• Sponsorship does not change the alphabetical order of any list, and sponsored schools cannot buy a place in researched selections (Best Language Schools pages).
• A paid listing does not automatically receive a “Research checked” label: that describes our own review of official sources.

Statuses

“Research checked”, “School claimed”, “School-submitted information” and “Sponsored” are four separate statuses. A sponsored school is not thereby verified, recommended or ranked. Where a sponsored placement is shown, a page that would otherwise show an editorial selection says so.
